Cocalmayo – Santa Teresa – Machupicchu 2D/1N

Itinerary

1. DAY 1: COCALMAYO - SANTA TERESA - MACHUPICCHU

   We will depart from the city of Cusco at 7:30 a.m. and travel by bus to the town of Ollantaytambo to take the train to Hidroeléctrica. Along the way, we will pass through the towns of Piscacucho, Pacaymayu, Torontoy, Machu Picchu, Mandorpampa, and Hidroeléctrica. The journey takes us through a wide valley until the Wilcamayu River narrows. During the trip, we can appreciate the diversity of flora and fauna. Once we arrive in Santa Teresa, we will settle in a camping area. After leaving our belongings in custody, we will head to the Cocalmayo hot springs. We will make a direct payment at the hot springs and bring everything we need for the thermal baths. The hot springs are open until 9 p.m. We will return to the town of Santa Teresa to enjoy a delicious dinner. Then we will return to the campsite and have a social gathering with groups of foreigners who have finished their hikes. Rest in tents.

2. DAY 2: SANTA TERESA - HIDROELÉCTRICA - MACHUPICCHU

   We will wake up early, take transportation to Hidroeléctrica, and board the train to Machu Picchu Pueblo. From there, we will take the bus up to the Machu Picchu citadel for a guided tour and photo opportunities. After finishing the visit to Machu Picchu, we will descend by bus to the town of Machu Picchu and enjoy a good meal at a restaurant. We will then board the train again, which will take us to the Ollantaytambo stop, and from there, we will take transportation back to the city of Cusco. End of services.
