POLICIES, TERMS, AND CONDITIONS FOR TRAVEL IN PERU
Amazing Adventures operates where accommodation, transportation, and services may not meet usual expectations. However, we strive to provide the best services to our clients. Traveling in Peru requires patience, good humor, flexibility, and understanding that changes may occur without prior notice (force majeure). By booking our tours, you accept:
RISKS: By booking any of our adventure trips (Inca Trail to Machu Picchu, Salkantay, Ausangate, Choquequirao, Lares, Vilcabamba, Ausangate, Cachicata, etc.), you assume the associated risks. Amazing Adventures is not responsible.
TRAVEL INSURANCE: We highly recommend you purchase travel insurance that covers accidents, medical expenses, and emergency repatriation, including air rescue and ambulance. We also recommend coverage for cancellations and lost luggage. Please email us a copy of your policy or bring the information to our office upon arrival.
DISCOUNTS: For groups: If there are at least 4 people in your group, you will receive a group discount of $5 per person and $10 for a future visit.
Note: The discount does not apply if fewer than 4 people go on the trek (if a group member cancels). An additional charge applies for departure during election days.
STUDENT: To receive this discount, you must have a valid university student ID card (maximum age 25). It is important to scan and email it to us at the time of booking and ensure it is valid when booking the Inca Trail. You must show the real ID upon arrival in Cusco and Machu Picchu.
Confirm if you want to visit Wayna Picchu (45 minutes from Machu Picchu), as it must be reserved in advance. There are two time slots: 7:00 to 8:00 a.m. or 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. (Currently closed).
BRIEFING: The pre-trip briefing in Cusco will be organized according to your arrival. For those undertaking 4-day hikes, a tarp will be provided if you have paid for an additional porter for the Inca Trail or if you are doing an alternative trek.
Local payment (final balance payment): You can make this in cash at the time of the final payment.
MINORS: For minors under 18, a notarized letter is required, assigning responsibility to an adult as the minor's guardian.

Passengers are subject to cancellation or rescheduling charges for requested services. For the Inca Trail, the following applies:
- If a cancellation within a group is replaced by another reservation, this condition does not apply. (For the Traditional Inca Trail).
Cancellation fee as a percentage of the vacation price:
45-22 days: 40%
21-9 days: 75%
8 days or less: 100%
*Note: During high season, our company reserves the right to change cancellation policies if our providers apply different penalties to the cancellations listed above.
No Show: Any passenger who does not show up for a scheduled and reserved service without prior cancellation and acceptance will be considered a No-Show and will lose the deposit without refund or claim. Amazing Adventures must also be notified of any changes or cancellations in your trip as soon as you know them by email. No expenses will be covered by the deposit.
VERY IMPORTANT (1): We recommend staying at high altitude (over 3,000 meters in Cusco or another high-altitude city) for 2 to 3 days before embarking on the trip.
