Itinerary

  1. DAY 01: CUSCO – ABRA MALAGA – SANTA MARIA

    Our transportation will start picking up our passengers from their respective accommodations in Cusco. After breakfast in Ollantaytambo, we will head to the highest point of the journey, Abra Malaga at 4350 meters above sea level, where we will begin the downhill bike ride until we reach our second activity point in Santa Maria at 2250 meters above sea level. After a delicious typical lunch and a rest, we are ready to continue the adventure with Level 3 Rafting in the Urubamba River, also known as Vilcanota, perfect for having fun and ending the day in a comfortable EcoLodge.

  2. DAY 02: SANTA MARIA – INCA TRAIL – COCALMAYO HOT SPRINGS

    After breakfast, we head to the Inca Trail, where we start walking for approximately 4 hours through the high forest with abundant flora and fauna. In this area, it is possible to see many types of plants, orchids, birds, and other endemic animals, a paradise of biodiversity in the Inca jungle. During our journey, we will visit the archaeological site of Inca Carcel, where the Incas punished people who did not comply with the rules of Inca society. After lunch, prepared by a local community with fruits and native tubers from the area, we continue the approximately 3-hour hike. Cocalmayo hot springs will be the reward for this long walk, and after that, we will have a rest in the town of Santa Teresa. Dinner and overnight stay.

  3. DAY 03: SANTA TERESA – HYDROELECTRIC – RAILWAY LINE - MACHU PICCHU PUEBLO

    The next morning, after a good breakfast, we will head to the nearby zipline base. Here, we will experience different routes, cross a hanging bridge, and do some light rock climbing. After this activity, the bus will take us to Hydroelectric, where we will enjoy our lunch. There is an option to take the train (approximately 45 minutes) or continue on foot to Aguas Calientes. We will walk for about 3 hours, encountering beautiful waterfalls, different species of wildlife, along the beautiful Urubamba River. Upon arrival in Aguas Calientes, we will gather at a local restaurant for a great dinner and a meeting where the guide will coordinate the visiting schedule for Machu Picchu. After dinner, the group will have free time to explore the town of Aguas Calientes.

  4. DAY 04: VISIT TO MACHU PICCHU CITADEL

    After breakfast, we will board the tourist transport for a 25-minute journey to the Inca Citadel of Machu Picchu. It is recommended to use the restroom facilities before entering the Machu Picchu Citadel. The guide will explain and highlight the most important points of the citadel. Once the visit is completed, we will return to the town of Aguas Calientes to buy food at the preferred place. In the afternoon, we will head to the train station to return to Ollantaytambo, where our return transportation to Cusco awaits.
